With a background in biomedical engineering and a deep commitment to improving her clients outcomes, Candice Frederick has built a distinguished career in natural medicinal product development as well as beauty/wellness formulations. Her expertise spans across designing and testing medical ideas, biomechanical systems, beauty/wellness formulations and health tech solutions that bridge the gap between engineering and wellness.
Candice earned her degree in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University as well as a masters in Biomedical Engineering from N.Y.U. and has since been at the forefront of product innovation. Throughout her career, she has worked on projects ranging from wearable health monitors to sophisticated surgical instruments, always with a focus on usability, safety, and functionality.

Candice Frederick is Founder & CEO of OHMYGosh Alternative Medicine & Aromatherapy Spa/Salon Formulations, LLC as well as OMGenius Biomedical Research Labs. She is a rare multidisciplinary expert, blending the worlds of Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Paramedical Skin Care with a passion for beauty product development. With a wealth of knowledge in engineering, medicine, and cosmetics, Candice is dedicated to transforming lives through scientifically-backed innovations that enhance both health and beauty. Born in Detroit, Michigan but raised in Chesapeake Virginia, this Northern/East Coast girl knew from the start the commonly used phrase “OhMyGosh” was more than just an everyday expression.

An Innovator at Heart
Candice’s career journey began with her deep fascination for understanding how science and technology can shape human experiences. Earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University and her Master’s in Biomedical Engineering at New York University. With a dual background in biomedical and chemical engineering, she has mastered the intricate balance between cutting-edge medical technology and the art of beauty. Her technical expertise allows her to develop products that aren’t just aesthetically pleasing, but also safe, effective, and designed with the highest standards of care.
Her dream would be that she would someday turn this passion into the creation of innovative consumer products. As a student, she channeled this passion during a successful internship at 3M where she created a pilot size machine for adhesive coating and later at an early career at Procter & Gamble establishing a foam stability mechanism in soap concentrated products using a novel polymer combination.
Constantly infatuated with the engineering of innovative products, Candice found herself in constant research and self-studies on new cancer developments, diabetic clinical trials, and multiple sclerosis breakthroughs – just to name a few, to better assist her on the chemical imbalance of the body and how it relates to these specific diseases.
Engineering Meets Skincare
Candice then found herself in Miami where she combined her love of science, health, and beauty to launch OMG. She’s received licensing as a Florida Paramedical Skincare Specialist and is certified in the following: Ayurveda, Aromatherapy, Herbology , Microdermabrasion and Rapid Exfoliants/Peels. All of her training combined with her extensive research has led her to focus OMG on cosmetic research for women involving cell renewal and anti-aging product improvement with an overall passion of discovering natural wellness for all.
As a licensed Paramedical Skin Care Specialist, Candice possesses a unique understanding of skin biology and how different ingredients affect skin health. She combines this knowledge with her engineering background to create products that promote skin health at a deeper, cellular level. Whether developing advanced formulations for treating specific skin conditions or creating luxurious, everyday skincare, Candice’s products prioritize both results and safety.

Candice’s work as a beauty product developer goes far beyond creating skincare solutions — it’s about pioneering products that address real concerns while promoting well-being.
